Maggie Ip (She/her)
​

Programs & Services Coordinator

​

 

Maggie was born in Hong Kong and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2012. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Maggie first joined Diversecities as a Spring Camp volunteer in 2017 and discovered her passion for working in the social services sector, particularly with children and youth. In the same year, Maggie joined the team as a Children and Youth Program Coordinator. Over the past two years, Maggie has coordinated different programs catered towards children and youth, including the Spring Camp, Afterschool Program, Youth Mentorship Program, and Social Knot.

​

Maggie is currently responsible for coordinating the Community Helpers Program to help train young adults to better care for their mental health, as well as to equip them with other life skills to help their peers. She also has experience working with minority populations with different mental health problems or family issues. Maggie has five years of professional experience working with children and youth and two years of professional experience in working in mental-health related issues.
