Diversecities' Youth Dragon Boat Team is a community-driven initiative comprised of newcomer and immigrant youth (12-17 years old) from diverse backgrounds, including those of Asian, Ukrainian, Middle Eastern, African, and other cultural backgrounds.

The team was first formed in 2023 with the desire to help newcomer and immigrant youth overcome the barriers of social isolation, inspire confidence, and develop a sense of belonging through teamwork and community. The team's activities focus on teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Our main goal is to foster a supportive environment where these young people can thrive as members of the community. We are committed to building upon the foundations we created over the past several years, supporting our youth every step of the way, and celebrating every milestone the team achieves.
