Law & Advocacy
Diversecities’ Law & Advocacy Program acts as a bridge that connects the
marginalized communities, especially the Chinese-speaking Calgarians, with the
mainstream legal system by helping individuals navigate issues and systems, and
builds community capacity through legal literacy educational programs.
The goals of the Program are to: (a) support individuals requiring legal information and advice through clinical support and client-based advocacy; (b) increase access to legal information and educational resources; and, (c) enhance the legal and advocacy skills of community workers and volunteers.
