
Law & Advocacy
Diversecities’ Law & Advocacy Program acts as a bridge that connects themarginalized communities, especially the Chinese-speaking Calgarians, with themainstream legal system by helping individuals navigate issues and systems, and
builds community capacity through legal literacy educational programs.
The goals of the Program are to: (a) support individuals requiring legal information and advice through clinical support and client-based advocacy; (b) increase access to legal information and educational resources; and, (c) enhance the legal and advocacy skills of community workers and volunteers.
Legal Resources & Publications
We publish Chinese-language newspaper articles, videos, podcasts, and other general legal information in different areas of law, including family law, civil law, wills and estates, landlord and tenant, and employment law. This information can also be accessed here.
