About

Speaking of Bones webinar is presented to you by Osteoporosis Canada, and translated into Cantonese or Mandarin by Diversecities' volunteer interpreters.

Osteoporosis, known as the “silent thief,” can cause bones to deteriorate over a number of years without any signs or symptoms, until a bone breaks. Unfortunately, by the time this happens, the disease is already fairly advanced.  The Speaking of Bones presentation will discuss bone health and allowing you to know your risk for osteoporosis.  Learn about: • What is osteoporosis • Risk factors and how osteoporosis is diagnosed • Ways to maintain healthy bones • Treatment options • Fall prevention  This presentation is for the general public, older adults, seniors, caregivers interested in learning more about bone health.
