Winnie Wu (She/her)

Law & Advocacy Coordinator

Winnie was born in China, grew up in Hong Kong, and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2012 as an international student. Winnie completed the Legal Assistant Program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 2015 and worked in a local law firm after her graduation. She discovered her passion in helping the vulnerable populations while serving the community, so it led to a change in her career pathway to work in the non-profit sector.

Winnie has been a Law & Advocacy Program Coordinator in Diversecities since 2016. As she can speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taishanese, she has been capitalizing on her language competencies to help the community navigate and access the Canadian Justice system.
