Born in Montreal to immigrant parents, Eric grew up as a second-generation Chinese Canadian and was able to both live that life while also seeing the hardships of immigrant life through his parents.

Eric is currently an assessor with the City of Calgary, co-organizes the Calgary chapter of Hackernest, a non-profit organization whose goal is to link tech communities together through networking events and is a co-host of Off the Wok, a podcast that deals with growing up as second-generation Canadians.
