About the Event
We are offering the AHS-developed and funded Community Helpers Program (CHP)!
2025 CHP CORE is a 9-module mental health peer support program that results in a certificate. We are open to the first 15 that register.
These modules will: go over fundamental concepts involved in helping (e.g., the ethics of helping, autonomy), core skills (e.g., active listening, paraphrasing), introduce a semi-structured process for initiating emotionally difficult conversations (crisis response), and offer participants a list of Calgary-specific mental health resources to refer those in need of professional support.
